Name: Fr Trevor Nathasingh, Diocesan Priest
Date of Ordination: June 18, 1989
Portfolio: Parish Priest, Mayaro
It was a night in the mid-1970s during a prayer meeting at the Tunapuna Church and Trevor
Nathasingh lay on the ground, slain in the spirit. "What happened that night brought me into the desire
of taking Christianity seriously,"
He attended Hillview College, and after secondary school, he pursued some studies in engineering.

While he was sitting in front of a statue of Mary, he heard a voice speaking to him saying, "I will lead
you to my son". He looked around but no one was there. This happened twice after and by the third
time, he became very afraid.
He looked around and saw Br Imamshah, one of the Benedictine monks and asked if he could speak
to him. Br Imamshah then took him to Fr IIdefons. This was young Trevor's first encounter with a
Catholic priest. Fr IIdefons then referred him to Fr Michael O'Loughlin OP. the parish priest in
Tunapuna. "And there began my journey".
Initially he did not take Fr. O'Loughlin seriously until one day when he was passing in front of the
Tunapuna Church he heard a voice saying to him; "You shall be a priest". From then he began taking
it more seriously.
He entered the Household of the Eternal Light Community, with whom he had been involved for some
time. Shortly after, he submitted to God's Will and entered the seminary in 1983.
He is an International Speaker at conferences, leading retreats, healing services and Church
missions. His Gift of speaking and touching peoples hearts through the Power of The Holy Spirit
makes him a popular and well respected member of the Charismatic Renewal.

Missions. Valli presently serves on the Board for the Charismatic Renewal in the
