October 15, 16, 17, 2010 2010 Diocese of Orlando Catholic Charismatic Conference
“The Truth Will Set You Free.” (John 8:32)
Speakers: Fr. Trevor Nathasingh, Sr. Marilyn Minter and Fr. John Gallagher
|
Fr. Trevor Nathasingh shared (at the Conference in 2004)
he was to speak on "to testify to the light, to be a
witness to the light, to reveal the light, to show the world the
light and the light is Jesus Christ". Catholics", he said, "are
not familiar with testifying. That's a strange event for us
Catholics. Well it has to cease being strange, it has to
become normal everyday Catholicism, because if we don't
testify to light which is Christ, if we do not proclaim and
witness to Christ how will the faith be passed on and lived
on? We have no choice when it comes to be a witness it is
what we are commanded to do", as he referred to John's
Gospel.
Sister Marilyn has moved on ... to a job as campus minister at Immaculate Conception high school. She tells the students her job there is to be concerned about their relationship with God. Through her work, she is still demonstrating that, “God wants us all to be happy and God wants us to use our gifts and talents for a mission and purpose. And I do believe God prepares us to carry him wherever we are.”
